Born and raised in the U.S.A. Graduated from Roma High School in 1976. Graduated from Pan American University in Edinburg Tx in 1978. Recieved a bachelor of science in Elementary Education with a minor in Bilingual Education and Endorsement in Kindergarten.Got a Master's in Adult Education in 1985 from Kingsville, Tx. Recieved a Mid-Management degree in 1999 from Texas A & M International University of Laredo. Married to Mr. Abiel Barrera and have 4 children 3 boys and 1 girl.
